How To Practice The Von Latta Technique?
During phase three the Von Latta Technique will either work, and become one of the big events in your life, or it won't and you'll be disappointed, have nothing good to say about this therapy and send for your money back. Listen to me: I guarantee that in almost all cases, if you are serious about gaining control of your back and eliminating either all or most of your pain, you will succeed...but you must be willing to spend the time and energy necessary to win...to realize the magical knowledge that your own back isn't off limits...that you can actually reach right in with self-controlled pressure, and manipulate the problem areas...and thereby beat what has, up until now, beaten you.
When talking about this technique to others, I often turn to my wife for verification of this point or that point. She used to manipulate my back, every ten days or so, using a chiropractic hip-rotation. My back was constantly going out and it caused me a tremendous amount of physical pain, incapacitation and self-pity. In the last three years she has helped me with my back three times.
Because we are dealing with a physical trauma, sometimes a dramatic trauma, where muscles, tendons, discs, and bones are involved, a successful application of the Von Latta Technique isn't guaranteed every time you apply it. ON several occasions, my back has been out so severely that by the time I was able to apply the Von Latta Technique the muscles were simply too tight to allow an adjustment to occur. When that happens, infrequently I must again note, I apply the Von Latta Technique until I realize that it just isn't going to work. That determination is usually made within five to ten minutes. (As you grow in awareness of the powers of this technique the amount of time it takes to realize just what you can and cannot do shortens.) If I feel that I am just too tight for the therapy to be effective, I lie flat and straight on my bed and go to sleep. Usually I will wake up during the night and apply the Von Latta Technique. Often that is all it takes. Sometimes, however, when my back is really bad, I will wait until morning to apply the VLT. AFter a full night's sleep, the Von Latta Technique can generally be applied successfully. Before I discovered the Von Latta Technique, my back would often be out for days or even weeks.
NOW THAT IS NEVER THE CASE.
